Yeah another of our favourite parks for a walk with the dogs. A great variety of manicured areas and more wooded areas, as well as a great picnic area outside the excellent cafe. It is our go to when we have the grandchildren with us too as there is a fabulous play area.

Some lovely walks, be aware it does involve some uphill walking, the cafe is dog friendly and reasonable cost with a good range of foods, have used this as a lovely place to meet up with dog owning friends for a leisurely dog walk and lunch after. There is also a lovely gift shop based in the old elephant house in the park (which used to be a small zoo many years ago) which sells honey, beeswax items and other gifts.

Such a charming cafe. Food is amazing. Plenty of options across breakfast and lunch. The staff are excellent and extremely friendly. The location is lovely. Great to come for a walk. The cafe is also pet friendly!

Would give 4.5 if it was an option! Lost 0.5 as not much for little toddlers but still swings and little slide. Nice loos, place for a coffee. £2 for 6hrs parking, disabled bays available. Bit hilly for little novice cyclists but plenty and more to explore in the well enclosed play area and open woods! (Didnt explore arboretum - next time!). Tidy, litter free, plenty of bins. Shame dogs are let off leads but hey ho.

Nice place, full of families during a summer time, what makes this place very special and unique. Car park available. Prices for 6h £2 or all day £12. We loved visiting wooden playground. It is designed like a castle. There is a separate section for toddlers and another for older children. There are a few slides, climbing ropes, and swings - plenty to keep the kids busy. Everything was in great condition with no broken parts, and the whole area was clean and well maintained. I also appreciated the many benches around the park, which makes nice to have lots of spots for families to sit and enjoy their time. We will definitely be back!
