Lovely monument and surrounding park but the monument is NOT actually open for tours!!! It has been closed for the last few months and no date for reopening. However, there is nothing to inform visitors of this either on the internet nor on the monument itself. Therefore had a wasted trip today which was very disappointing (Sat 15/8/26)

Great views of Enniskillen town and the indigenous Maguire Chieftain territory before colonisation and the Ulster plantation. Brilliant insight into local history from Frank who brought us up - well worth a visit. The council really should utilise this park for more.

Lovely place, it's a bit of a steep hill to the top but if you're half fit it be easy and if you're fortunate enough the monument could be open, when inside the monument it's a steep spiral staircase to the top which you can get a bit dizzy with, but the few from the top is worth it, not for anyone scared of heights 😆
