A compact playground in a sports-focused park, ideal as an add-on to walks in nearby Braidburn Valley Park.

Located in the northeast corner of Colinton Mains Park, this small but well-maintained playground serves as a convenient addition to nearby adventures rather than a standalone destination. The rubber-surfaced play area features toddler units, climbing features, swings, bird's nest swing, and a spinning net—all suited to young children. The surrounding park offers football pitches and a separate teen area with basketball facilities. Just ten minutes' walk from Braidburn Valley Park, it works perfectly as a quick play stop during longer family outings. Accessible via Lothian Bus routes 5, 16, 4, and 27.

There was quite a lot of litter in and around the small children's play park.

This park is absolutely disgusting. There is rubbish everywhere, dog shit everywhere and the council workers left white paint on the grass. There are plastic bottles piled up and left on the football pitch. There are 4 bins around the park and plenty more around the housing area. Just a total dump.

Good park for dog walking. Now spring is here. Football pitches and kids play park. Could benefit from more bins beside the benches.
