A beautifully maintained historic abbey surrounded by gorgeous parkland. The hotel is a wonderful example of old fashioned grandeur. Being allowed to age gracefully but being modern enough where it matters. Cool nooks with comfy chairs where you can lounge and enjoy a cup of tea or cocktail... The grand staircase leads up to floors 1 and 2 (there is a lift too) where our room was huge! Big, comfy bed with gorgeous bed linen, tea and coffee making facilities even a cafetiere. Bathroom was lovely with a massive bathtub and over bath shower - lots of fluffy towels too. Customer service is second to none and after a misunderstanding in the restaurant, it was dealt with with understanding and respect. The menu has something for everyone but you need to point out if you have any allergies as the written menu doesn't reflect this. As coeliacs, very few choices were highlighted as gf or as can be made gf but 80% menu actually could be made gf. We had an absolutely delicious burger in a gorgeous gf bun with fries and a really lovely bottle of Primitivo, sat out under the stars in such beautiful surroundings was magical. A truly wonderful stay with amazing staff where you really do feel special.

Beautiful park with vast areas to explore and enjoy. There are a few different play areas for the children and then thrilling activities like GoApe and axe throwing make this park even more fun. We enjoyed walking around exploring before we found a nice spot for a picnic. Parking charges could be more favourable but still worth a trip.

A super day out for my mum's birthday surprise! Our family really enjoyed our morning walk at Coombe Abbey - I would definitely recommend for those who love a nature walk (there are a few walks to discover for all abilities and wants) and plenty of wildlife with the opportunity to feed the ducks, swans, geese and pigeons. And the lunch in the café was brilliant. I couldn't recommend this place enough!

The park was absolutely beautiful—one of those places that makes you slow down without even realizing it was a beautiful evening the greenery felt so fresh and calming, and the way the sunlight filtered through the trees gave everything a soft, golden glow. It was peaceful, almost like stepping away from the noise of everyday life for a while. Definitely a place I’d love to visit again.

Coombe Abbey Country Park is a haven of tranquillity that exudes timeless charm and natural beauty. We were fortunate enough to visit on a bright, sunlit day when the landscape was bathed in golden warmth, and every ripple across the lake shimmered beneath a flawless blue sky. The park’s vast meadows, stately woodlands and graceful swans drifting across the water created an atmosphere of pure serenity, offering an idyllic escape from the bustle of daily life. Wandering along the scenic trails and pausing by the historic abbey felt wonderfully restorative — a perfect union of relaxation and quiet reflection that left us feeling both rejuvenated and grateful for such a splendid setting.
