Lovely little place to visit but you need to go on single track roads to get there. There is a nice cafe. There is an accessible carpark which we were not told about which we could have done with. This saves walking or pushing a wheelchair up the hills and down the steep slope to get there.
We visited the Cornish Seal Sanctuary today and had a lovely time. It was wonderful to see the seals and learn about the amazing rescue and rehabilitation work the sanctuary does. Some areas were quite difficult to access, so the site may not be fully suitable for visitors with limited mobility. Overall, it was a great day out, and I would recommend visiting to support the sanctuary and its important work. ⭐⭐⭐⭐
It's not too expensive and you support a lot of work to help such adorable seals! They have a conservation area and beavers to teach about climate change, puffins - with a great talk and feeding demo - last, but not least, seals! Really good time. Only thing to watch out for, tiny roads on the way down and trouble getting signal for Google maps back to where you came.
The admission fee is 20 GP, with a 12-month complimentary return policy. While I would ideally take advantage of this, my current residence is approximately 250 miles away. The location is idyllic, and the animals are exceptionally well-cared for and endearing. The staff demonstrated impressive knowledge. The presence of puffins was a particular highlight. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit. This experience can be completed in approximately one hour, or extended to three to four hours for a more immersive engagement. The scenery is remarkable, and I highly recommend it.
We visited here in feburary on a little 3 day cornish getaway with the dog. We had a really lovely day out, nice that they allow dogs to visit too. We loved seeing the all the seals and puffins, we were in time for a talk about the seals which was really informative. We had a good walk around the whole site which was nice for us and the dog, lovely views. It was £18 each for entry but we said we would happily have paid more as we know the money goes towards the care of all the animals and my husband gave a donation in the gift shop on the way out. We would recommend and happily come back here again
