First, it's not signposted from the main road, so use map or satnav. You have to go through a farmyard, so you're not lost. Very small car park. Fantastic walk, wooden boards most of the way, great accessibility. Peaceful, lovely scenery. Not many other people there.
What a wonderful find! Quiet, peaceful and interesting short walk around the reserve.
A quick and circular walk that is ideal for younger children when you want to get out of the house! Lots of interesting plants and trees!
I had been looking for this place after coming on a university field trip some 20 years earlier. My revisit didn’t disappoint! So peaceful, even though it was a sunny weekend, not another soul around. Just our family. Fascinating place, for those who like peace and quiet and nature loving. Only a few benches available to sit and ponder life. Personally I would say suitable for little children out of the pushchair, as the biodiversity is so sensitive and there not much for them to do.
Lovely little walk around this bog nature reserve. Make sure you stay on the path but be careful as there was a board that has rotted and broke under my foot. My dog was off lead as Ilwe were the only ones here. There is a bigger walk which goes through fields with sheep but didn't go through myself as didn't want to startle any sheep. Wish there was more information about the different plants etc but still had a great time. Free parking, enough for about 4/5 cars.
