I spent about an hour sitting and enjoying this lovely park. There are lots of little areas to sit in and it feels very peaceful. There is a small pond, which the ducks were enjoying, and a beautiful bandstand in the centre of the park. It was absolutely wonderful.

Courtenay park was and still is a beautiful place to sit and relax, the park boasts beautiful old trees which provide shade during warmer times, also plenty of seating for patrons too. The park is well maintained and trees looks well sculpted and grass kept short.

A quiet open space opposite Newton Abbot railway station, walked around today in the sunshine enjoying the peace. Benches, Kids park (closed for Covid) and a gorgeous bandstand, dog friendly and tarmac paths for wheelchair and pushchair access. Public toilets are located at the station end with local bus and national coach stops nearby.
