It's a lovely country walk, gravel pass and some places you can go where there's no gravel, but it's a lovely walk through the trees and that easy parking, picnic tables and a nice pond so it's a nice place
Beautiful area with nice lake walk of about 20 minutes round trip. I couldn’t get down to the lake when I visited in June and it looked very reedy around the edge so probably not safe to try getting down. There is a big car park large area with plenty of paths an old mine I presume. Nit too busy on Sunday afternoon..
This is a great place to explore and enjoy some quality time with nature. The reed beds are a haven for many birds, as is the permissive path walk near the car park entrance.
On my own door step nice walks free parking some paths today were a little bit muddy but it is January view from top of hill was nice . Yes I would definitely recommend a trip out to dust of the cobwebs but I reckon the summer will be better for obvious reasons.
Wonderful place to go for a walk, lots of nice paths and a free car park. It also has a kids' playarea and wooden outdoor exercise features if you fancy using them.
