Visited the cafe last week..staff were attentive..I had the lentil soup and felt it was tasteless and lentils not properly cooked..try straining the lentils through a seive and push them through with a ladle this helps to get rid of most of the shells of the lentils and won't upset your stomach..

⭐️ 2/5 – Disappointed by the service I came to this café by myself, hoping for a quiet moment and maybe a nice coffee by the window. When I arrived, the staff offered me a table in the corner — which was kind, but since I was alone, I preferred to sit by the window where I could look outside rather than face a wall. Unfortunately, when I asked if I could take a seat by the window instead, I was told I couldn’t. There were several empty tables, so it felt unnecessary and a bit unwelcoming. Sitting alone already takes a bit of confidence, and being denied a simple preference for a seat made the experience quite uncomfortable. Because of that, I decided to leave without ordering anything. It’s a shame, because the café itself seemed cosy and nicely designed — the atmosphere looked pleasant, and I had hoped to enjoy a drink there. But after being refused a different seat, I didn’t feel encouraged to stay. Overall, this visit was disappointing. A small gesture of flexibility or understanding can make a big difference for solo visitors — unfortunately, that wasn’t the case here.

So I tripped and fell into this garden centre to buy a few bits for my rockery in progress. Then spent a while admiring all the gifts, of which there was a good selection. I went for lunch and the service was excellent. Friendly efficient staff and then just fabulous fresh food. Was just the pick me up I needed today and I'll be back again soon.
