Great place to visit! Give yourself at least 4-5 hours to see the entire estate. The grounds and gardens are beautiful.

I would highly recommend this place. The castle is on a huge property, and in itself is interesting to tour. The guides wandering throughout the building are very knowledgeable and eager to tell you about the rooms, items in the rooms and the history of the people and place. Also on the property is a lovely cafe at the 'Home Farm', a campground, 20 miles of various walks (on the grounds, along the shore, and on the beach), a campground, a playground and an adventure park too.

Really great walks through both forest and beach, plenty of things to see and some amazing wildlife too. Got up close with swans and saw a Herron and some sparrow hawks. Highly recommend.
