Great little regimental museum. Admission is included with the castle tour.

The size of the building is very misleading and a delight to find sooo much military memorabilia on display. From the friendly greeting we received upon entering to all the way round the museum did not disappoint. Highly recommend a visit and definitely open the drawers!! So many medals and history to see. Great interactive parts for both kids & adults alike.Well thought out displays throughout.The only disappointment was the lack of welcome or interest from the staff in the cafe.

I have a morbid fascination with military museums. I despair at the bloodshed and loss of life but at the same time marvel at the stories that the museum tells so well of those that fought in so many conflicts across the world over the last few hundred years. It doesn't glorify war but does give us a chance to reflect on the sacrifices made.

Well I hadn't expected to enjoy this little museum as much as I did. Well displayed, well informed boards, and part of the castles admission fee. Cafe and toilets on the premises, plus a little well priced gift area. Some interesting displays, definitely worth a visit if in the castle area.

When English members have benefit to have free entry then why not. Let me enjoy. Excellent military based museum and well worth to have a look. Very well laid out with great displays and informative. Good location next to castle and inside the castle boundary. So why not try when you already visiting the Castle.
