Friendly polite staff, good lively environment for children to play. Nice area for the adults to sit and watch their children play. Affordable food and drink. A great place to let little ones burn off energy.

Children's soft play - unfit for purpose. Advertised for children from 0 years, but this is not the case I took my 6 month and two year old children. We decided to let them play in the "under 3 area" Children much older were jumping in and out of the baby area, taking the toys and moving them out of the baby section, nearly knocking my 6 month old over. My two year old daughter left the area crying and scared. We decided to leave after 15/20 minutes. The staff (Manager in particular)are unhelpful, they didn't offer to resolve the issue, just told me that they were essentially a "cafe" and that it's upto the parents to be responsible for their children. Cyril's nut hut, as a business, should have a duty of care. Whether that be issue a FULL refund, alternatively -as in this case they were not happy to offer a refund, the manager could have spoken to the children/parents and asked them to adhere to the rules, which wasn't even offered as a solution to the problem. As a paying customer who was adhering by the rules placed around the soft play/cafe, it is not my responsibility to ensure that other parents/carers are following the rules. The manager told me that her staff had been on the microphone multiple times asking children to behave (I can assure you, that hadn't happened once for the area I was in whilst I had been there, only to ask children in another section to stop being so rough with the football area.) I will be taking my complaint higher, as the resolution offered by staff/management is unsatisfactory and I believe the staff require some training in regards to how to speak to customers and deal complaints. Swearing and being unhelpful is unreasonable, I was very respectful of the premises and the other adults and children around me, I remained calm and polite in my approach, the same cannot be said for the staff/manger.

First turned up for a fair greeting booked us in and we went through to the main seating area, the tables where greasy and plates where scattered around the area, walking through the main play area with my child I noticed some items that need to be fixed (pictures below), these areas can be considered dangerous, in one of the pictures there is a hole in the netting on the roof 3 stories up, this has been mentioned to the staff on the 18/08/18 but she seemed genuinely uninterested this needs fixing immediately, the food was a fair price not expensive at all, but the food took an hour to arrive at the table at a fairly quite time, the hotdog that was ordered was cold and some what tasteless, the cheese and tomatoe toasty was not dry or burnt and was generally OK, for the kids meal the chicken nuggets were dry but the chips were very nice, overall the experience was not the worst in the area but not the best either, improvements are required to bring this place up to scratch on safety and general cleanliness, this could be a good place to go.
