Enjoy hands-on animal encounters, woodland exploration, and play areas across 20 acres of Essex countryside.

Daisy May's Farm is a working community farm located in Elsenham, Essex, set across nearly 20 acres of pasture and woodland. Founded in 2011 and run entirely by volunteers as a not-for-profit organisation, the farm welcomes families to experience authentic farm life and animal care. Visitors of all ages can participate in hands-on activities including collecting eggs, feeding and handling farm animals, bottle feeding lambs (seasonal), holding chicks, and milking goats. The petting area allows close encounters with smaller animals such as guinea pigs, rabbits, chicks, and ducklings, making it ideal for young children. Beyond animal interactions, the farm features an adventure playground with swings, sandpits, and a ball games pitch, plus a woodland area perfect for leaf collecting and den building. A secure play area with benches provides safe space for children while parents relax. The Flying Pig Food Hut offers refreshments, and visitors are welcome to bring picnics to enjoy the idyllic rural setting. Open daily from 10:00-16:00, entry is £6 per person with under 1s free. The farm also accommodates private visits for schools, nurseries, and youth groups. Facilities include undercover work areas, toilet facilities, and ample parking for cars and minibuses.

Daisy May's farm is a great small farm for a day out with the family. You can get up and close with many of the animals there. There is lamb bottle feeding and small animal petting all included in the price. Animal feed is a very reasonable price too. There are tables chairs, facilities and colouring for the clidren. One of the best farms to go to to have a with a lot to do for all ages.

We had a great family day out at the farm. Loads of animals, even better as you can touch and feed most of them. We look forward to our trip back. Thank you to the friendly team who made our day even better.

Great afternoon out with the family. Very friendly staff. The animals looked so happy. Very cheap afternoon out. Great time petting and feeding some of the goats etc. Highly recommend you to take the family there.

Our visit to the farm was very enjoyable, especially for the children. They had a great time playing with the baby goats and feeding them. It was a lovely experience full of joy.
