Amazing space in London ✌️✌️ Lovely footpaths around and overall very pleasant to walk and get absorbed ;-)) I parked at Woodside Park club and it was just about 1k no elevation walk to the lake

A quaint little reserve with a gentle stream running through, with trails that delight and moments that inspire. There's a lovely little lake and a couple of benches where you can come and relax, breathe easy and have an afternoon with a good book and take in the view, which is really rather splendid. Keep following along and eventually you'll come across a couple of more benches - you'll know which ones because the view from those benches of the surrounding landscape will have your attention. Darlands Nature Reserve is perfect for anyone - whether you're a jogger, nature lover or a dreamer wanting to get lost amongst the greenery, this is the perfect place to come. For me personally, it's when the sun is at full strength and shaded by deep blue skies that I love to come here and you should, too. Oh, and the photo opportunities here are aplenty.

It takes a bit of finding and parking isn't plentiful, but that's part of the beauty of it. It's been greatly improved since I was last there in 1975! Very unspoilt apart from a bench and life ring apparently were stolen recently! The Orange tree made a good stop but a bit pricey but to be expected in such a premium area. We walked up from Burtonhole lane to Totteridge, then back via the Mill Hill garden centre where you can get an ice cream! A lovely way with Gravel paths so you don't get muddy.
