Become a Family MemberReally liked our walk along and through this! Lots of people just coming to take the typical tourist pics but it was really cute, quiet, and nice to see real Edinburgh residents walking dogs and enjoying the space as well.
Dean Village feels like Edinburgh slipped into a fairytale and forgot to come back. The Water of Leith flows gently—sometimes rushing, sometimes whispering—past neat little cottages that look hand-painted rather than built. The small waterfall adds its own soft music, turning a simple walk into a pause-worthy moment. Quiet, green, and oddly calming, it’s the kind of place where time slows down, takes a deep breath, and lets you do the same.
Pretty village mixing a bit of nature and medieval style that look newly built buildings. Great for a walk away from the main attractions of Edinburgh. Not a lot to see, area can be covered in probably 15 - 30 minutes, but it is totally worth it. Nice coffee shops nearby.
Lovely little scenic spot. Ideal for a little walk there and along the Waters of Leith.
Might be the most beautiful place I've ever been to. I fell in love hard with this place. Can't wait to be back again.
