Bit of a mixed bag for afternoon tea in the orangey/hibiscus. It was a bank holiday granted but service was still slow, we had a booking but were left standing by the front door for 10 mins before anyone came to see us. While the afternoon tea was fancy, beautifully presented and tasty, the portion size was tiny for a £60+ afternoon tea for two. They've done the usual trap of having very posh looking food but giving you a very small amount of it. The surrounding and decor were lovely with the restaurant being very tastefully decorated. Again, let down by the state of the toilet and the suspicious puddles on the floor. All in all i did enjoy it but i don't think id be in a rush to come back on a weekend/bank holiday again

We attended the Northampton Film Festival and had the opportunity to see the art exhibition and visit the street food festival as well. I really liked the way the facilities were used to organise various kinds of activities.

During our UK trip we were treated to such an incredible experience at the Delapré Abbey. Our taste buds truly went on an adventure like no other! Each course was paired with a complimentary wine and was absolutely delicious. Our waiters were extremely knowledgeable on each dish and wine pairing which was very impressive. One of our waitresses was actually from South Africa too so it was nice to hear a familiar accent during our dinner. The overall atmosphere and fine dining experience is sone I will take with me forever. Thank you for such a tremendously special evening. I hope to be back someday.

Visited Delapre Abbey for the Winter Light Trail yesterday. We got our tickets online (I don’t know if you can buy them when there) but it was plain sailing from start to finish, attendants at the entrance to the car park and the light show showing you where to go and brilliant signage. (Parking is £5 book it with your tickets online) we loved the lights and it was nice and quiet not over crowded we visited on Thursday 6pm. We had okay food from the food trucks- it wasn’t anything to write home about but was tasty enough and £9.50 for a pork yorkie wrap is pretty standard event price. The hot chocolate at the half way point was a perfect little warmer and the area is a cute place to stop and have a boogie with the music. Overall experience was pleasant and would go again.

A slice of history. Very ancient, the Abbey has extensive lawns, manicured gardens, and plenty of spots for wonderful pictures. The Santa grotto is open now and is a great attraction for children.
