We had the pleasure of meeting one of the museum's paleontologists, and his passion for his work was truly inspiring. He has an incredible knowledge of fossils, prehistoric life, and Earth's history, and he shares that knowledge with enthusiasm and patience. It is clear that he genuinely loves what he does, whether he is explaining exhibits, answering questions, or discussing new discoveries. His dedication brings the museum to life and makes learning both exciting and engaging for visitors of all ages. Thanks to his expertise and positive attitude, my visit was not only educational but also memorable. I highly recommend taking the time to speak with him if you have the opportunity.
Booked a private fossil hunting trip with Oliver and wow he blew us away, a lovely friendly and knowledgeable man who taught us so much! It was a pleasure to meet him and we popped into the centre on our last day where Oliver taught us even more! Very happy with our trip and will be visiting him again when we’re back on the island
After a great chat and professional introduction into the world of dinosaurs..and my kids sifting sand and finding fossil shark teeth. We headed to the recommend beach ... Finding a number of fossilized wood.. We found this (see picture). Still await more information Thanks always ba great place to stop and learn. Thanks
5 stars for an exceptional guided fossil hunt then trip to the museum. If you do both you get a bit of a discount. The museum isn't huge but it's worth going for more access to Oliver's incredible dinosaur knowledge! My day with the dinosaur expedition centre was one of my favourite things I did on the island. I even found a fossilised crocodile bone and we saw iguanadon footprints on the beach! Loved it!
It was interesting to say the least 😅 The car park was just a field, a very muddy one, and my car got very dirty from it. The museum was very small and was just in a barn, but it was quite interesting despite that. It was good to pass the time. You could sift through sand to find dinosaur teeth from the beach, and then you could pick your 3 favourites and keep them. It was quite informative nethertheless.
