Dover Transport Museum is Kent's only museum dedicated to transport history, housed in two large exhibition halls featuring recreated street scenes from historic Dover businesses. Visitors can experience over 100 years of everyday life through hundreds of exhibits, including vintage vehicles, motorcycles, garage displays, and memorabilia from the Dover Car Ferry and Train Ferry era. The museum's main attractions include the world's largest collection of Norman Motorcycles (newly added), historic vehicles, a vintage garage and motorcycle shop, model railways, a 5" gauge railway, Romany life displays, and Channel Tunnel memorabilia. The interactive visitor-operated model railway is particularly engaging for younger visitors, making a visit a memorable family experience. Open Sundays, Wednesdays, and Bank Holidays from 10:30 to 16:30 (final entry 15:30), the museum welcomes families with pushchair-friendly facilities and a cafe. As a registered charity staffed entirely by volunteers, it offers special occasions featuring additional exhibits such as vintage double-decker buses. The venue also accommodates school groups and provides an educational glimpse into how life was lived generations ago.

Hidden Gem. Loads of interesting information, suitable for all ages. Great value for money. Hornby railway, mock street shops in times gone by. Various transport to view, interactive museum. Clean and tidy. Mostly indoors so great for our unpredictable weather! Café on site + outside green space. Spent over 2 hours on site. Dog friendly too! Pay once return for a year on your ticket 🎟 😊

Such an amazing museum, lots for variety and interactive exhibits, highly recommend taking a look. It also has a lovely cafe that’s very reasonable, a good place to stop off for bikers as they have indoor and out door seating and a beautiful range of classic and special bikes. The museums is accessible, dog friendly and child friendly with lots to keep them occupied, kids loved the models.

Amazing place, cleverly set out to show how machines and people worked. Displaying objects throughout the eras. Wonderful volunteers with abundant knowledge and enthusiasm and stories to tell.Great for all ages and lovely cafe. Well worth a visit so much to see around every corner.

Wonderful place, full of history in motors. Feels loke your back in time and brings back memories of what use to be around when you was born in the 80s. Staff polite and helpful. Food in the little cafe is excellent.

Making use of the £12 for a year ticket! Already been in a couple of times ( for the bacon butty ) Staff are lovely, exhibits are well presented.
