Drumglass Park is a six-acre public park located on Lisburn Road in Belfast, named after Henry Musgrave who bequeathed the land to the city in the early 20th century. The park was originally opened as Drumglass Playcentre in 1924 and has since become a cherished community space recognised with Green Flag Awards in 2019 and 2022, acknowledging its status as one of the UK's best open spaces. Visitors can enjoy expansive green areas ideal for family outings, with accessible playground facilities suited to children aged 0-12. The park features a historic gate lodge built in Queen Anne revival style around 1882, complete with original Musgrave family monograms, adding cultural interest to the visit. The venue is completely free to enter and fully accessible by public transport via Metro buses 9A, B, or C from Belfast city centre. The park is currently undergoing enhancement with plans for a new sustainable drainage system that will include a native planting pond designed to promote biodiversity and educational opportunities for children. Opening daily from 7:30am with seasonal closing times, Drumglass Park offers pushchair-friendly pathways and outdoor recreation suitable for families with babies and toddlers through to primary school-aged children.

A fantastic little oasis on the Lisburn road! Always clean and well maintained. Plenty of friendly dog owners, seats, open space, toilets and a well kitted out play park for the kids. Beryl and Hopp bikes are right by the main entrance.

I loved this park when lived on malone road. Such a lovely little park with lots grass to lie downnor play freesbe, some place under the roof where sometimes they do yoga. There is nice playground and public toilets. Usually eash to park around and lots of food places nearby.

It's a small but very pleasant park with a well segregated playground for the little ones. Some lovely trees, mostly open with well kept grass and tarmac walkways. No dedicated parking but it's usually possible to get a space not too far away. Handy toilet block which is also kept pretty well and great choice of eateries or cafés on the adjacent Lisburn Road.

Great park with lots of wonderful dogs and a cute coffee truck. Watch out for the mud puddles on the edges, otherwise a well maintained location. Bring a blanket for a picnic or just to catch some sun. Can get some ice cream or a pizza on the way if you walk down the Lisburn Rd. 👍🏽
