Dunville Park is Belfast's first donated public park, established in 1891 as a gift from Robert G Dunville to the city. The park has been recognised with the prestigious Green Flag Award every year from 2014 to 2022, reflecting its status as one of the UK's best open spaces. Visitors can explore a variety of facilities including senior and junior playgrounds, a floodlit 3G sports pitch for soccer and GAA, scenic paths, and landscaped areas. The park's focal point is the historic Dunville fountain, a beautifully restored Victorian structure designed by AE Pearce and filled with over 6,500 flowers. Additional attractions include a commemorative statue of world boxing champion John Caldwell, a local hero from West Belfast who competed in the 1956 Olympics and became World Bantamweight Champion in 1961. Dunville Park is fully family-friendly and free to visit, with a mobile coffee kiosk on-site for refreshments. The park includes changing pavilion facilities and car-parking. The children adore this park, and it's become our go-to spot whenever we have a hospital visit for our little one. :) The local council maintains it splendidly. Today, a council worker was there, affable and approachable, as he attended to the roundabout. His courteous behaviour and pleasant demeanour alone merit a pay increase. We'll certainly return! The vicinity also boasts an array of shops, a bakery, and various other establishments!

Kids loved this park, we always come here when Baby has a hospital appointment :) Council upkeeping it well, Guy there from the council today was nice and friendly, he was fixing the roundabout dish thing. Guy needs a raise based on his manners and demeanour alone, will definitely be back! Lots of shops, a bakery and other places close by too!

Nice big spacious park to take the dog for a walk, play with the kids, have a run about and have picnics when the weather's decent. Wouldnt recommend it at night over the weekend when it seems like hundreds of teenagers enjoy drinking.

A nice, open and fun filled experience for adults and kids. There are swings, a gym and nice path to stroll down and the area itself is very clean, colourful and has a great atmosphere. I would recommend taking your kids here for the day if you are visiting.
