Theres a large car park next to the beach. Its free. It gets very busy. Cafe nearby too, again, gets stupidly busy. Toilets. Dogs allowed on the beach, children too. The beach is stoney and full of pebbles. No sand castles available here I'm afraid!

Long shingle beach, adjacent to river/ wetland and forest. Loads of wildlife on offer. Very quiet when we visited too.

A vast length of shingle beach with some sandy patches. You could walk all the way North to Walberswick, or all the South to Thorpeness (tides permitting). It's worth keeping in mind though that with tucked away spots like this the roads can be small, and they are here too so be prepared to pull in to let each other progress. Worth it.

Peaceful shingle beach at the foot of low, fast eroding cliffs. Open, spacious feel, with uninterrupted views along the coast in both directions. There's a large parking area with a café and toilet facilities; parking is free but donations are welcomed to help with upkeep. While in Dunwich, the ruin of Greyfriars Friary is well worth a look, a short walk up the hill.

One of the best beach & sea view with open seating in natural green space. The beach and surrounding heath provide ample opportunities for outdoor activities. The beach is also dog-friendly, allowing your furry friends to join in the fun. There is a cafe named coast-guard tea room with ample sitting area & parking, which is managed very well by National trust.
