Dyfed Shire Horse Farm is Wales' only dedicated Shire Horse Farm visitor attraction, located in Pembrokeshire's Coastal National Park near Crymych. This family-run working farm welcomes visitors to interact with and learn about their impressive Shire horses, including notable residents like Sir David Attenborough, a grey foal, and Mullin, a gelding, who enjoy meeting and greeting guests. The farm has gained television recognition, featuring on programmes including 'Escape to the Country', 'Farmers Country Showdown', and 'Ffermio'. The venue offers families a chance to experience rural heritage and connect with these magnificent animals in their natural working farm environment. What a wonderful place for a visit. The horses are just magnificent, and there are donkeys, sheep and lambs too and a museum and lots of photos and artefacts to look at plus a little shop and a soft play area for children. ( A little tired in places but this is NOT Disneyworld.) We had a very tasty and very good value home made lunch and drinks from the lovely ladies in the kitchen who are so friendly and obliging. Everyone involved with the farm and animals are so welcoming, knowledgeable, and their passion, dedication, and love for the animals in their care is so obvious in everything they do. The young man Stefan who we met on our carriage ride, whose enthusiasm and empathy for his charges and his work was just a breath of fresh air. What a lovely young man. If you do visit, please, please do as we did and donate. These majestic horses and wonderful people that put their whole life into caring for them deserve to have an assured future. Thank you for a truly enjoyable visit, David & Shirley Smith

If you love horses, you'll love visiting the gentle giants at Dyfed Shire Horse Farm. The horses and other animals onsite were so gentle and just a delight to see. All the staff that we spoke to were lovely and very knowledgeable. Would certainly go back, next time we're in the area. Had some lunch in the cafe area, which was very tasty.

I loved seeing all the horses and the baby donkey. It does need money invested into the farm facilities very dated and tired. Shop needs more local items to buy. Food was basic but hot. Staff helpful and knowledgeable.

This was so much more than expected. The horses are so beautiful and placid. The farm owners are passionate about the horses and so so kind and generous. The non equine animals are also delightful, especially scamp, the most adorable 3-legged dog you'll ever meet

We had the most amazing day out here. The staff are lovely and made our day really special. We loved that it wasn’t a commercialised farm. The tractor ride, quad bike ride and carriage ride were amazing and it was great value for money. We can’t wait to return. We have done a full review on our TikTok : @travelswithkg
