Love the garden and grounds! Very inspirational for how you can train your fruit trees. Having assess to a shuttle service is very helpful for those with mobility needs or small children. The walk back up to the car park is manageable with a buggy! So many places to picnic. Lots of great selfie spots too

A lovely national trust house! Theres a short walk from the car park to the house however there are two mini buses for those that cant/dont want to walk. The house itself is pretty and the gardens were beautiful! Highly recommend.

A grand estate with sweeping views and that quiet, countryside elegance — the walk up to the house feels cinematic, and the deer park adds a lovely, almost storybook touch. Great for long walks, fresh air, and a slower, reset kind of day. The house itself can feel a bit understated compared to the grounds, and the uphill walk isn’t for everyone. Facilities are decent but spread out, and it can get busy on sunny weekends.

This is a beautiful park. The gardens and grounds are gorgeous. It is about a 25-minute walk to the car park, and there’s a cafe too. There are plenty of walking paths, the hill going down to the house is quite steep. The house was impressive and interesting. The staff are helpful. This is well worth a visit. I’d love to come back here in the summer.

We visited on a weekday and it was wonderfully quiet with plenty of parking. The house is fantastic to view and the gardens are beautiful and in full bloom. There are lots of walking trails around the estate. There is a shuttle bus from the gate to the house, but we preferred to walk it. ​Top tip: Go early! The house closes at 4:00 PM and the park closes at 5:00 PM. The last shuttle. bus from the house back to the gate leaves at 4:45 PM.
