Enjoy a Green Flag-awarded urban park with well-equipped play areas, sports facilities, and a wildflower meadow perfect for families and dog walkers.

Dysart Park is an urban park located in Grantham, Lincolnshire, situated south of the town centre just off the A52. Originally bequeathed to the people of Grantham in 1908 by Sir Lionel Williams John Manners, the late Earl of Dysart, the park has been designated exclusively for recreational purposes. The park has earned Green Flag status recognition for outstanding quality and management. The park features extensive facilities designed for family enjoyment, including a well-equipped children's play area, hard tennis court, bowling green, and a formal playing field covering two hectares. A highlight is the wildflower meadow, created through collaboration between local groups, the Council, and Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust, which provides habitat for bees, butterflies, and other pollinators year-round. The traditional bandstand and flower beds add to the park's charm. Dysart Park hosts regular events throughout the year, including the popular annual Family Fun Day and Dog Show held in July, plus the Gingerbread Man Race. With on-site staff available from 7:30am until approximately half an hour after sunset, the park is accessible to visitors of all ages. The expansive open spaces and diverse facilities make it ideal for families with young children, dog owners, and those seeking outdoor recreational activities.

Really enjoyed our visit to Drysart Park. We managed to park easily in the car park on a sunny Friday during the summer holidays. There’s lots of wide-open space for running around and playing games, as well as a good variety of play equipment, which was in good condition. A lovely park with plenty to keep the kids entertained—definitely worth a visit! Please note: the toilets were not open on our visit, there are plenty of trees/bushes around for an emergency bush wee but there is a McDonald's just a few minutes walk away.

Could have had more stalls and silly folk taking dogs off leads made it unsafe so we left after a very quick walk round

Lovely park and always kept very clean. We're lucky to have it at this end of town. Brilliant for families with younger children due to the extent of the playground equipment.

Nice little park where the youngest child can go ride her bike and play on the swings. Slowly improving. The fun day they hold has declined over recent years
