Eaglesfield Park is a Green Flag Award-winning park situated on the summit of Shooters Hill, the highest open space in the Royal Borough of Greenwich. The park is divided by Eaglesfield Road into two distinct sections, each offering unique experiences for families and visitors. The upper section features grassland, a well-equipped children's playground, and a restored ecological pond that was re-landscaped in 2010 through a partnership with the Parks and Open Spaces Team, Friends of Eaglesfield Park, and the amphibian charity Froglife. On clear days, visitors enjoy extensive views into Kent, including the Queen Elizabeth II Bridge at Dartford. The lower eastern section is managed as a meadow with midland hawthorn trees that produce attractive red blossom in spring. The Green Chain Walk passes through the park, providing excellent walking opportunities and connections to nearby attractions including Shrewsbury Park to the north and Oxleas Wood to the south. The western section is an ideal spot for picnics and family outings, while the entire site is wheelchair accessible. Quiet small local park with a nice small play ground for kids and a great view of the city

The information board here claims that it is the second highest place in London, which it true if you consider only the inner boroughs. There are extensive views, particularly to the north. There is a surfaced path across the main park, and a grassy path around the eastern part across Eaglesfield Road.

This park has easy access from the road through by walk, bus, train and car. The parking is free by the adjacent roads. From the road you will find a plain grassy ground. If you walk towards the centre you will find the kids area. The environment is very bold and open as you are quite at the top and able to see far. This park is suitable for all age groups and dogs. There are lots of rubbish bin and pet litter boxes. There are enough comfortable sitting spaces.

Lovely open space, next to golf course and tennis courts; a few steps away from probably the best view of London from anywhere in London (occupation lane). Nice Children’s play area and a small pond. On the opposite side of the park you can take in some spectacular views across to Kent - one can see the Dartford bridge in the distance.
