Edinburgh's premier large-scale playground covering nearly 5000 square metres with 40 play items, zip line, and a secret tunnel entrance.

Edinburgh's flagship playground spans 4877 square metres with 40 individual play items organised across multiple age-specific zones. A secret tunnel entrance through the hedge adds adventure from the start. Highlights include a zip line, multiple multi-play units of varying difficulty, dedicated toddler equipment, water play area, and spinning bowls with musical elements. The Meadows park setting offers three access points, ample seating, picnic tables, a refreshment kiosk, and seasonal ice cream van. Ground surfaces combine rubber, wood chips, and sand. Public toilets face the east entrance. For families with overwhelmed toddlers, the quieter Meadows Toddler Play Area sits nearby as a gentler alternative.

Large playground with plenty of equipment! There are about 4-5 different sections of playground equipment here. One section has sand, which has diggers and buckets. There was a reasonable amount of benches and some shade. My son loved the zip line! They have a small shop that sells snacks and ice cream as well. There are no bathrooms inside the play area, but just outside the gate there is a well maintained public toilet. This play park is at the south eastern most corner of the Meadows; closest bus stop is Buccleuch Terrace.

This is an amazing place for all irrespective of age. You can play, enjoy the sun, eat your on the spot barbecue. This place has a playground for kids, tennis courts and a green park for your furry friends to run around. This place has a restroom if you are in need. Overall during sunny days a perfect place to enjoy the blue sky and green land.

Fantastic park. When you're traipsing around the city all day looking at monuments and have a tired little person, they just want to play! This park is the perfect relaxing spot. Tables, green space, ample equipment, toilets. Ticks all the boxes.

My first time in meadows its really nice place to hang out with friends. A huge greener patch, with 2 -3 play area for kids and also good for running and cycling.
