A fantastic local museum that brings Ely’s history to life from prehistoric times to the present day. The staff are so friendly and helpful and the museum is beautifully designed, modern, accessible and very well laid out. I was blown away, what a gem! It is excellent value for money too. Would highly recommend it to visitors and locals alike and learnt they have regular family and school events so can’t wait for a return visit especially as my entry ticket is valid for a year!

I've been to Ely Museum several times for Little Explorers with my daughter, and for a mindfulness workshop which included a tea ceremony and calligraphy. Every time it's a great experience, very friendly and well run.

I thought the museum was lovely. The lady at the welcome desk was incredibly friendly, helpful and welcoming and the museum was so clean and well maintained. The exhibits were well thought out and nicely put together. I enjoyed my trip around the museum, it is relatively small but it has a lot contained within it and the information is put across in a really well considered way so it can be understood by everyone. I was very impressed by the museum and definitely recommend, there was a lot of hands on opportunities and exhibits to attract younger visitors too.

Really nicely done museum with extremely friendly and helpful staff! Nice stations for kids to play and learn. The history of the jail is super interesting.

A great local museum! Modern and accessible with lots of information. There are interactive elements and an explorers station specifically aimed at children. Look out for regular events and talks. The ticket price includes admission for a whole year making it very good value.
