Proper historical place. Where the knights swore to make the king agree to the magma carta. Would have been even better if Henry the eighth hadn’t been around.

This was our favorite place to walk in Bury St. Edmunds. During our visit, we were here at least twice every day. St. Edmundsbury Cathedral is wonderful (a gorgeous cathedral with a loving, welcoming community), and the gardens, abbey ruins, and grounds are all gorgeous. I recommend this walk to anyone who is in the area. You'll find it very friendly. It's a perfect place to walk your dog - though they do require you to have the dog on a leash. There's also a playground, which is perfect for kids and families. We loved this area and cannot wait to return in the future!

A beautiful place to visit. Very helpful, knowledgeable and courteous staff in the cathedral. Good facilities and if the weather is nice it's a perfect spot for a picnic.
