This is such a beautiful beach walking through the green flat area. It's suitable for families with kids. The water is cold in July but beautiful and nice to walk barefoot. I am definitely recommending, and the car park is free of charge. It's also pretty much flat to walk on the grass so super accessible for elderly people, even wheelchair. The dog must be kept on lead to not disturb sheep and wild rabbits.

Fabulous beach,superb dunes Small carpark but sufficient for the usage usually. Playground and walking for dogs, don't forget your poo bags.

A huge array of outdoor equipment to entertain the kids. Giant snakes and ladders, a little maze, obstacle course, the usual climbing frames, roundabout and much more. Has a toilet. Short walk to the beach. Short drive to local cafés and shops.

What an excellent play park for children. The 'traditional climbing frame, swings etc as well as some clever mechanisms to allow children to hoist sand and tip it down chutes - well constructed and great fun. Then there is an 'activity' section with slightly harder challenges for children. There is even a nicely constructed stone circle with a partial reconstruction of a chambered cairn. Along with this is the challenge to visit it on a sunny morning of the shortest day of the year! I will say no more - visit it and see for yourself. There is even a wee café (10-4) run by volunteers. A splendid community run enterprise which is really good fun.
