Love the place, wasn't expecting to be so busy ,people walking dogs,but majority just for walk, nice trails but a few hard,need to be fit, couldn't believe so many mandarin ducks,just love them specially because of colour,other ducks species, lots of birds,the lake and water falls great,funny to see a "regatta" sail boats models,could see people really enjoying the day,at the entrance there is a caffe and toilets. could see some picnic tables, benches along the way. Recommend this place.

I love this place, it's great to take the children to see the ducks, swans, geese. You can fish, watch all the wildlife, sail, see the waterfall, go to the fairy house in the woods, walk round the butterfly garden, you can go for a hike or just go for a leisurely walk finishing up with a bite to eat and a drink in the cafe and buy a souvenir in the shop.

First time here and wasn't disappointed, it being school holidays there were lots of families having fun. The car park is a decent size, pay and display, along with a toilet block with a disabled radar key one, but the staff at the cafe has one and will let you in if you need to. Next to the car park is a model boating lake and yachts were racing there, every Tuesday and Thursday apparently. Just past there is the larger lake if you go anti clockwise around it there are lots of benches to rest, when you get to the top you can either carry on up the path where it leads to a lovely weir, or if you come back around the lake, there are no benches and you go past all the fishing spots, nice and sheltered here if it's windy. This leads you back to the car park and cafe, which we tried hot chocolate, toasted teacakes and beans on toast, very good food, not over the top pricing either. All in all a lovely walk and place, hope you try it.

Etherow is a delightful place for an immersive nature walk. Its fairly flat and there are easy to follow footpaths that take you around the lake, along the river and into the trees. There is a great cafe run by Pure where you can get a drink and various snacks. The public toilets are clean and free to use. Parking is Pay & Display, at reasonable rates but spaces are limited and they fill up very quickly at busy times.

Lovely place for a nice walk round, we started at the cafe with a coffee and a butty which were very nice with lovely friendly staff too. The cafe employs people with special needs which I think is a lovely idea. The walk was full of wildlife and friendly walkers happy to say hello or good morning that makes the stroll round that much nicer. Definitely take a camera if you're into wildlife and photography as there's plenty of opportunities, there's also a weir so far down as well. Overall we loved the walk round and reckon we'll be going back again soon with our daughter so she can snap away with camera herself which she loves.
