Beautiful buildings being well maintained and managed, a lovely surrounding area to sit, eat and relax. Unfortunately, this is all ruined by the local drug addicts doing class A drugs in the middle of the park. How this is allowed is beyond me.
Famous for having the longest uninterrupted medieval stone-vaulted ceiling in the world, stretching approximately 96 meters. Built in the 14th century in the Decorated Gothic style, its branching ribs resemble an avenue of palm trees. Its running from the west wall to the east end without a central tower interrupting it Over 400 ornate medieval roof bosses and corbels featuring floral and animal motifs.
Beautiful cathedral. It wasn’t busy when I went there and honestly it’s beautiful the camera doesn’t do it justice. I saw staff leaving the cathedral and asked them if they could take picture and they were very polite and happy to help me take pictures.
Exeter Cathedral is a place that truly impresses from the very first moments. It captivates with its magnificent Gothic architecture and a peaceful, calming atmosphere. It is not only a religious site but also a cultural landmark that leaves a feeling of harmony and inspiration. It’s definitely worth visiting if you find yourself in Exeter.
Who love the architecture must visited and the interior is filled with fascinating details. My visit to Exeter Cathedral was a truly unforgettable experience. From the moment I stepped through the grand west front, I was completely captivated by the sheer scale and beauty of this historical building. The most striking feature is undoubtedly the longest uninterrupted vaulted ceiling in England, which feels like a vast stone wave frozen in time above you.
