My husband and I had such a lovely visit to Exmoor National Park! We especially loved exploring the beautiful Horner Wood and then stopping at the charming Horner Tea Gardens nearby for a lovely cup of tea and a little treat. We also enjoyed exploring the stunning Lynton coast and taking in all the beautiful scenery along the way. Exmoor has such a peaceful and magical feel, with gorgeous woodlands, dramatic coastal views, charming villages and wonderful little cafés. We had such a memorable time and absolutely can’t wait to come back and explore more!

Exmoor is easily one of the most enjoyable and pretty of the national parks. Criss-crossed (but not too intensely) by well-maintained, quiet roads, walks, wild ponies, small forests (but not big enough to always interrupt the view), warmer and drier than so many of the other, boggier parks. As national parks go, it’s a little slice of bliss, and one of the areas I’d most like to move to in England. It’s as if the sun always seem to shine here. And it’s so big - I’ve only seen the southern half of it, and yet to explore the dramatic northern coastline of it.
