Beautiful long walk around the lake....was a bank holiday so very busy with families . The cafe served hot and cold food . Lovely resting area under the shady trees and lots of benches too.

To be absolutely honest, I can't give give an unbiased opinion because I live right beside Fairlands. I frequent this place often, dog walking, cafe or short cut to the town centre. Ive met wonderful people on the dog walks and the cafe provides a nice place to chill out. Im so lucky to live beside the lakes. Highly recommend a family day out here. Come and visit, I doubt you will be disappointed

Fairlands Valley Park is one of the best outdoor spaces in Hertfordshire and a fantastic place to relax, walk and enjoy nature. The park is beautifully designed around large lakes and open green spaces, creating a peaceful atmosphere while still offering plenty of activities for visitors of all ages. One of the highlights of the park is the scenic lakeside walking routes, which are perfect for long walks, jogging, cycling or photography. The views across the water are beautiful, especially during sunrise or sunset when the reflections across the lakes make the scenery look even more impressive. The park also feels very spacious, making it easy to find quiet areas to relax away from crowds. There are plenty of activities available including watersports, sailing, paddleboarding and outdoor fitness areas, which give the park a lively atmosphere during warmer weather. At the same time, there are also peaceful woodland sections and picnic areas where you can simply sit and enjoy nature. The park is very family friendly and well maintained overall, with cafés, play areas and facilities nearby that make longer visits comfortable and enjoyable. It is also an excellent place for dog walking thanks to the wide open spaces and lakeside paths. A beautiful and relaxing green space in Stevenage that combines nature, lakeside scenery and outdoor activities perfectly. Definitely worth visiting if you enjoy peaceful walks, watersports or spending time outdoors. 🌿🌊☀️

We had a really lovely walk and a nice lunch in the cafe. It was our first visit. It was nice to see lots of people walking and dogs too. A bit early in the season, but it looks like you can hire boats too, which would be fun.

Loveeee this place… it’s calm, beautiful, and truly peaceful in every sense. Perfect spot to just relax and unwind. You can grab a coffee or ice cream from the nearby café and enjoy it with a stunning open lake view ❤️
