A wonderful place to explore and enjoy at any time of year. Though I would recommend boots through the colder winter months as the paths can get very muddy. Teeming with wildlife of all descriptions and with outstanding views out across the water, I always come away surprised that it is not busier than it is. Always seems there is room to find your own place and your own moment, which can be so important in this otherwise high speed world we live in. Look out for the bunkers as you follow the path around. Remains of a WWII defense called Project Starfish, designed to imitate a bomb damaged town and attract bombing away from nearby Portsmouth.

What a little gem of a place! Discovered whilst on work driving duty. Had my lunch break there and promised myself I would return in my free time... I went yesterday, and I was very glad that I did. Firstly, it is a great place to walk around and to breathe fresh sea air. Secondly, it is a fantastic place to bird-watch, with a great variety on show. Lots of information boards, too, so you know what birds you are looking at. I even saw some wind surfers doing their thing in the little bit of water that was available, it being low tide when I arrived there. Next time I go will be at High tide to see how it is then.

I had a wonderful time here, a really great place for beginner bird watchers like me! Beautiful views and an excellent variety of birds!

Lovely walk and nice scenery! Great amount of different birds,plants and nice marsh. There were not very direct local transports so having some stops on the Farlington marshes will be even better!Having some more boards showing different birds and plants to look forward for will be even better as well.
