Excellent, no is via a voluntary donation, the staff are very, very friendly and knowledgeable. This is a great day out l, it's only open to the public at weekends and b.hol Mondays.
What an amazing museum!! Fantastic volunteers! The simulators are great. And the ability to sit in the Puma, Harrier and Lynx! Nice little shop with very reasonable toys for kids. Lovely cafe with a nice range and not stupidly priced like many places.
It is a lovely Musium and the staff are great. If there is enough staff they allow you to fly a plane on the simulator they have. A nice little shop and cafe. It's also next to a working airport so you get to watch planes land and take off and manoeuvre around the airport.
Lovely little museum with a very nice collection of aviation related pieces. Everything from complete planes to a slide rule and everything in between. I particularly liked the wind tunnel models. Free entry and the option to donate £6 if you want to.
David and Ann Wilson took us tound on a personal visit, so we had it's history from the early days. They were founders. Organised place with excellent displays. We flew the Concorde simulator over the Hudson river. Great fun was had by all!
