It being a lovely spring Sunday afternoon, I cycled the short distance from my home along the prom to find a seat on which to perch at the town's delightful seafront gardens. There are countless little tucked-away places off the prom and into the gardens, which are starting to look really good as the season changes towards summer. I especially like to watch the enormous ULCC's (Ultra-large container ships) as they make their slow progress under pilotage along the deep dredged channel, while listening to the chatter between the ships, the pilot boats and the port on my marine band radio. It's also lovely to go down with a book to read and just enjoy the lovely surroundings and the peace and quiet away from the crowds. Simply delightful.

Adore Felixstowe itself and its atmosphere. Such a calm and charming place to visit.

Beautifully kept gardens on the sea front. Plenty of different routes, and seating with cafes in and around the gardens. A delightful place.

Its a very beautiful place to see. Very nice, calming and welcoming. Gardens are fulfill with a history and they are a really reason to be proud of. Im happy I could be there with my friends and we could spent a time in such an amazing circumstances. Sea and gardens! How unusual!

A lovely place to walk around. Very hard to park on a nice day. Everyone comes down to the beach to sit on it and tan. If your not into that like me, then you can stroll through the gardens and down the highstreet. Plenty of pubs along the way and food places. Plenty of places to sit and relax and get a nice cold breeze. I saw plenty of bins and did not see any mess. It was quite tidy. We stopped for a beer at Bar and Grill. Really nice drinks and food. When we took a walk back we had to climb up the stairs to the top of the garden. But the views are amazing. Plenty of nice scenery and perfect for photographers like myself. If you don't mind a little bit of walking then I highly recommend coming here. Even if it's just to look out at the sea.
