It’s a lovely park but we were disappointed that we arrived too late to ride the train. Google says it runs until 5pm but the last service was 2:30pm.

This place is great fir the kids, situated in a lovely big park the railway links two different kids playgrounds together, approx a 800m ride between the two. The train takes about 5 mins to do this journey at slow jogging or fast walking pace. I am 6ft 3 and was able to fit in the carriage. Its a very friendly place where the kids can wave ti everyone and other kids in the playground as they go past. It was a beautiful sunny day and it can get busy, luckily we arrived at the right time so the whole queue got to board at the same time. The train holds 20-30 people including kids.

A great place to go hiking, cycling and enjoy water sports. Amazing for children as there is a miniature railway and also a playground. Best to go in sunny weather.

A nice little mini railway that runs from next to visitor centre, journey time is probably no longer than about 5 mins from one end to the other. Lovely little ride and kids loved it, but it was £10 for the four of us for a return journey - on plus side, you can get off at the other end, have a wonder and then jump back on the next trip back.
