Explore Sheffield's first publicly owned park, a 15-hectare Green Flag award-winning green space with heritage significance, playground facilities, and Henry's Cafe.

Firth Park is a Green Flag award-winning heritage park located in the North East area of Sheffield. Established in 1875 when steel manufacturer and former Lord Mayor Mark Firth gifted the 15-hectare space to the people of Sheffield, it holds the distinction of being the city's first publicly owned park. The park is now classified as one of Sheffield's 13 City Parks and serves as a destination in its own right. This well-maintained mixed-use green space offers families a range of recreational opportunities across its extensive grounds. Visitors can enjoy sport and play facilities, participate in regular events and activities, and relax at Henry's Cafe, which provides food and refreshments on-site. The park is dog-friendly and welcomes visitors of all ages at no cost. Firth Park is actively managed by Sheffield City Council's Parks & Countryside department in partnership with voluntary groups like the Friends of Firth Park. The venue is beloved by the vibrant, multi-cultural community it serves and continues to be well-used for both leisure and recreational purposes. Its heritage status and award-winning status make it a significant destination for families seeking outdoor activities and a connection to Sheffield's industrial heritage.
