Amazing place to spend quality time in nature. I spent 2.5 hours here. Read all the signboards and look for all the different types of flowers, beetles, bumblebees, sedges, grasses, birds, the heather and of course the sphagnum moss and common hair cap moss that call this reserve home. Great to know that this place dating back to the end of the ice age is preserved and cared for!

Despite going on a very wet day, it was great to see a piece of land designated for nature and well looked after. The walk is easy and the wooden path is solid. Take time to read all the info, it's genuinely worth it. Also keep an eye out for posts which contain a magnifying glass in them. Pop in some moss and have a good look. The tower is nice for giving scale to the size of land. The drive in from the road is quite long and bumpy but it's a lovely stop off if your close by. You can also stay over in campers in the car park.

Beautiful place. Visited with my dog and stayed in my van overnight. Great walk around some of the peat bog very interesting stuff. Good to see some nice information to tell you a bit about it. Good views from the tower

Blown away by this spot, very happy that a rare treasure like this is being protected and cared for. If you’re the type of person who stops and points at every little plant, bug and interesting spot along a walk, this is absolutely for you. The total walk around the boarded walk is probably no more than 15 minutes, we ended up spending around 1h 30min, maybe even longer, lost track. Highly recommend bending down and getting a close look at all the moss and unique bog plants. Information plaques are also very good along the path.

I came to see a peat bog and climb the tower, but ended up learning about Newts and lizards among other things! I also didn't know that at the right time of the year this is a dragonfly meca! There is plenty of free parking and the walk was very peaceful! Note that the only downside to this visit (which is free) is that there are no toilets on site.
