We used to go to Guisborough to walk the dogs, but its so busy. Flatts Lane is fantastic everyone is friendly and the lady in the cafe is fantastic. Thank you

Great place for the kids to explore the woodlands and have fun in the wooden play area, picnic. The teens/adults can use the exercise equipment. I would of given it 5 stars if there were more picnic tables (3). The play area was good but the bench/table was too high for toddlers and the chippings need topping up in places. Toilet facilities and a mini cafe (cuppa and cake/biscuit n ices were bonus, although check before you visit, as cafe not open everyday in the summer hols.

Went in winter month to discover new parks in the area. Flatts country park is a large park offering short to longer walks. Ideal for dogs, with play area, footpath, cafe and visitor centre. Would highly recommend

An idyllic country park, with spectacular views of the surrounding area. Parking is good, although there are only two disabled parking spaces. Wheelchair access is good if you are adept at all-terraining manually or have a powered wheelchair that can handle rough and occasionally muddy flat terrain. Surfaces are varied, with a little tarmac but mostly gravel around the visitor centre, transitioning into compacted earth on the main pathways. If there is rain, the paths may get very muddy and impassable unless on foot. For families there is a playground which was being enjoyed by several families on my mid-October visit. There is also more challenging climbing equipment available for older children. The visitor centre looked well maintained but was shut when I visited on an October weekday afternoon. Fabulous park with lots of interesting corners and carvings. Despite the name it is very much not flat at all. Makes for an interesting walk or run for sure! Good cafe (cake is in the fridge so don't miss it!). Lovely staff and plenty of room inside.
