Had heard about this museum from fellow guests in our Blackpool hotel so decided to get the tram up to Fleetwood. Well worth a visit both in time and cost. My friend and I were totally fascinated by the history surrounding Fleetwood (not having given it a thought beforehand). The museum is small enough not to feel daunted but you can easily spend a couple of hours or more with a lovely little coffee shop at the end (or beginning). Never knew Fisherman’s Friends came from Fleetwood. The section on their beginnings was - again -so interesting. Didn’t know they had so much variety (which you can buy in the shop) Not forgetting Harriet! And the wonderful, knowledgeable STUART who’s passion for Harriet shone through you couldn’t help feeling emotional for a by-gone era. Thank you Stuart. But Stuart wasn’t the only one. All the “staff” volunteers were fantastic and friendly (sorry just didn’t get names but all who were there on Saturday 13th June at noon, this is for you ALL - a massive THANKS) Well recommend you go and support. Let’s get the other boat (can’t remember her name) under cover so she can be preserved for future generations too.

All the staff are local Fleetwood residents that love Fleetwood. I learnt loads, like the first professional female boxer championship was from Fleetwood. How the chimney colour of steam ships, showed the line they belonged to. Great exhibit and then the surprise ship in the back that has been saved.. Amazing!! Also has a lovely café and an amazing bookstore, found 2 recipe book gems!

Not a big museum, but important to the history of the town and fishing. The chap who showed us the last surviving fishing boat was excellent, full of knowledge and charisma. We'll worth a visit.

Visited as part of a group walk. Was surprised by the content. Some great graphics illustrating the history of Fleetwood. The highlight was the historical Harriet ship and the talk we were given. I would recommend anyone visiting Fleetwood with an interest of the local history, in particular fishing, to have a visit. And finally what great value for money.

Very interesting museum, well worth the visit. Very intense with information, lots of things to read and look at. There is a huge historical ship outside of the museum too!!!? Having known nothing about Fleetwood before visiting, we certainly learnt a lot! Staff are lovely and helpful. Can pay by cash or card. Good, clean toilets too! Thanks for making our trip to Fleetwood memorable! (Not adding pics of the boat - that, you definitely to see for yourself!)
