Explore a stunning East Oxford park featuring beautiful flowerbeds, three children's play areas with a zip wire, and Flo's Cafe for family refreshments.

Florence Park is a vibrant urban green space in East Oxford, just a five-minute walk from Cowley Road. Opening since 1934, the park showcases stunning landscaping with colourful flowerbeds, a tree avenue, and native tree plantings that attract diverse wildlife including pollinators, mammals, and birds. The meandering stream and wildflower areas create natural habitats visitors can explore. Families will find plenty to enjoy across three children's play areas featuring a zip wire, timber play equipment, and a sand pit for building sandcastles. The park also offers five tennis courts available for booking online, table tennis facilities, and space for informal games of cricket, frisbee, and football. Visitors can relax at the bandstand, enjoy a picnic, or grab refreshments at Flo's Cafe The Place in The Park. Beyond play, the park caters to all ages with walking and running paths, a nearby Children's Centre, and a notable mosaic created by local schoolchildren celebrating the Florence Park estate's 40th birthday. Easy access is available from three surrounding roads (Cornwallis Road, Rymers Lane, and Campbell Road), with nearby bus stops and on-site car parking during opening hours. The Friends of Florence Park group offers opportunities for community involvement and conservation efforts.

Great range of more formal, games, kids playground, sports and open areas. The kind of park needed in other areas of Oxford. Nice cafe too.

Lovely park just outside the City. Tennis, trapeze, café, great for walking the dog & the kids - there’s a nice play area, too next to the café. Also handy for the excellent local pub ‘The Jolly Postboys’

This is a great park with lots of green space, plenty of amenities such as toilets, water bottle refill stations and parking. The park has a large play area next to a cafe that serves refreshments. There are tennis courts and a table tennis table. The park is also well maintained and clean, giving an idyllic atmosphere wherever you go.

A lovely little park. Good for a walk, family outing or relaxation. No workout equipment. A pull up bar and parallel bars would take it to five stars. Be sure to check out Flos café. It has a fantastic vegan selection of truly scrumptious treats. Try to brownies! The playgrounds are really good. Especially for kids 18 months - 6 years.
