Just another amazing reason to visit Folkestone. My boys favourite place to visit in the uk hands down. Great photo opportunities, fantastic choice of food and drink, last time we had lunch at the Greek restaurant in the re used train carriages. So good to see the place on the up

Where've the Sealink ferries gone? Crikey, Folkestone. You've changed. What a gorgeous place. Never thought I'd write that about this ole town, but it's true. Don't just take my word for it...!

Such a transformation - a lovely place to wander and spend time, speckled with little planted butterfly areas, artworks, places to eat and drink - Sip is a coffee shop in the old station master's building, there's a huge screen with street food surrounding ample seating with some covered areas to shelter from the sun's gaze. Beach side has a spa area and a bar where you can enjoy a drink from the comfort of an old Dodgem car, or waltzer. We went in the heatwave and you could easily have thought you were in a gorgeous seaside resort abroad.

A truly delightful walk that affords stunning views of the sea and the crisp oceanic air that comes with it. On a clear day, you could make out the cliffs of France in the distance, which is quite the sight, to be fair. There's a lighthouse bar at the end of the walk and the photo opportunities here are plentiful - especially if you catch the sunset and the whole Arm is bathed in that resplendent golden glow. There's plenty to see and do at the beach, and the Harbour Arm is definitely a huge highlight and one I would thoroughly recommend experiencing.
