Clean, open park with plenty of shade and good views across the city. Interesting information plaques with the history of the battle. No public toilets nearby unfortunately.

Such an underrated spot with proper history attached to it! ⚔️📜 The views over Worcester from the top are brilliant on a clear day—you can see right across toward the Malverns. 🌳👀 It’s wild standing there knowing this was the site of the last battle of the Civil War; you can really feel the weight of it. The kids love charging around the open grass and the playground, and it’s a cracking place to walk the dog too. 🐕🛝 It feels more like a locals’ secret than a tourist trap, which suits me just fine. Definitely worth the climb! 🏃‍♀️✨

Fort Royal Park is a nice, small park that's definitely worth visiting. Don't expect too much in terms of size, but what it lacks in scale, it makes up for in charm. The park features an area for kids to play and offers stunning views of Worcester, including the beautiful Worcester Cathedral. The park itself holds significant historical value, being the site of the 1651 Battle of Worcester. Overall, Fort Royal Park provides a serene environment perfect for relaxation and taking in the views.

A very pleasant little park. We came here to watch the balloon launch. Sadly only 3 went up in the end but the park was a lovely place to sit and have a picnic. A nice play area, lots of mature trees to sit under and a nice view of the spires of Worcester.

This is one of the best and loveliest places to walk and get a great view of Worcester (city particularly) and surrounding areas. It's a bit steep in places, with steps and tarmac slopes to facilitate your perambulations up and down the slopes. It's also a great place to reflect on the history of Worcester whilst walking the dog or just simply strolling for exercise. There's a brilliant set of climbing frames and other children's playtime activities for a range of ages, and plenty of places to sit and soak up the views. The gardens are very clean and loaded with a large variety of trees, shrubs and plants. Wonderful on a sunny day, whatever the season.
