SHOUT OUT TO AUSTIN. Best trip to the Fowey aquarium and I’ve been going since I was a child. He told us lots about the different animals and even their little crustacean and fishy personalities. Enjoyed getting to stroke the star fish. Loved the merch too, came away with a slick mug and crab magnet. 🦀🐟
Such an amazing experience! Came in and saw so many different marine life creatures.. Shannon seemed to had so many facts about each crab and lobster! Felt so welcomed, definitely want to go again.
We visited today as a family of three (two adults and one child under 3) and had a brilliant time! We absolutely loved looking at all the local crabs and lobsters. A special shout out to Austin at the front desk—he was fantastic! He was so willing to answer all of our questions and went above and beyond to get our little one involved and interested in the marine life. Although the room itself is a little bit outdated, it didn't take away from the experience at all. It was a wonderful visit, and we highly recommend it!
Had an amazing time at the aquarium! The gentleman working there was incredibly knowledgeable, and I genuinely learnt so much about the fish and sea life. He even pointed out the weaver fish hiding in the tank so we could spot them! We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and I’d 100% go back again. I’d definitely recommend it to friends — a 10/10 experience! It was also really great to hear that they catch the fish and then release them back into the sea a year later.
A lovely little aquarium right in Fowey Harbour. Entry was £6 per person and all of the sea life is caught locally, then released back into the sea after about a year, which is a really nice concept. There’s a small touch pool where you can gently handle starfish and crabs, and they also have some impressive large lobsters and spider crabs on display. The young guy working there was really friendly and very knowledgeable about the sea life, which made the visit more interesting. It’s quite small and you can walk around it in about 15 minutes, but it’s a fun little stop if you’re in the harbour area.
