I booked this online which was very easy for hire of an open canoe for the afternoon. Easy to find and park. Equipment was good and the staff were friendly. We had a lovely relaxing afternoon paddling from the marina up to Odium castle and back which took just on 3 hours with a picnic at the castle for 45 minutes. It was great fun and a nice way to spend time with friends. I would recommend and I'd book again.

Three of us hired Hazel for a long weekend. We are experienced Canal boat users and normally go every year. This this was one of the best boats we have hired. It was well equipped, a good size and with three clear sleeping spaces. Facilities on board were very good with the very usable shower and toilet and well equipped kitchen. The canal itself must be the quietest on the English waterway system. Because of the airshow at Farnborough, we couldn’t go as far screen as we would’ve wished, but that did not detract from our holiday as we just took things more slowly. We found plenty of places to eat and drink near the canal and as the weather was perfect We had an almost idyllic three days. I would very strongly recommend both this boat and the boatyard. The facilities at the boatyard are excellent with a nice little area to watch the canal and drink a cup of coffee. The water levels were low, which made things slightly more tricky, but by keeping a careful eye we were perfectly fine all the time.

Hired ‘The Bramble’ 70ft canal boat for my family and we had a lovely time. Went from the boatyard to Odiham Castle - past the Fox and Hounds - back to Odiham Castle - back to the boatyard (Mon - Fri). At the bridge by the castle we stopped off at Mill House pub which was amazing. Saw so much wildlife and was so good to get out the city. Only downside (which was out of Arthur and Karen’s control!) was the weather, gets hot when it’s 35 degrees outside! There’s a few springs scattered around to cool off in tho! Fantastic break.

Just what we needed on a Bank holiday Monday. The team is so friendly and the experience from picking up the boat to docking it at the end is so pleasant. We have spread the word to several friends and families and we'll definitely be back in the near futrue. We'd recommend the electric four seater boat for families with young children. As you have the option to turn the propeller on or off depending on energy levels.

This is my second experience with Galleon Marine. We hired a narrow boat for the day a few years ago which was a magical rainy day experience! And this week I treated myself to a solo kayak morning. The canal is just blissful on a sunny spring day. Hardly anyone around. Glorious birdlife and solidarity! Just what a busy mum needs sometimes. Such an easy arrival with fantastic parking, useful clean toilet, ‘Hettie’ the horsebox to fulfill and caffeine/sweet treat needs, and swift boarding. Thank you Galleon Marine. I’ll be back.
