Excellent experience. Most interesting museum, cinema and lots of panels explaining the workings of the mine. Practice demonstrations and helpful staff. Nice cafe with good service and great views.

This is such an underrated attraction! We spent 5 hours here and still didn’t get round everything. So much to do, the talk in ‘the dry’ was very interesting and emotive done by an ex miner who worked there. (Kernaugh I think) Also the cafe which has beautiful sea views serves some really nice lunch and caters for vegan and gluten free. It’s a long way down South but highly recommend. We had ages 3 up to grandparents and everyone enjoyed it.

I visited the Geevor Tin Mine Museum with three family members on Sunday, and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. Every staff member we encountered was super helpful and knowledgeable. The museum site covers a large area yet is very well-planned. We followed the signs, which led us to the next areas naturally without having to constantly refer to the map. We walked through every section with ease, eventually ending up at the mine ruins and the beautiful coastal scenery. The museum keeps a large amount of machinery used in the past, which makes you feel like walking through history. I particularly enjoyed reading about a typical "day in the life" of various occupations in the mine after seeing the equipment, which really made the history come to life. Walking through the underground mine was also a fascinating experience. We also loved the music played in the compressor house by a staff member, which was the cherry on top! :) It was one of our favorite places to visit in Cornwall so far. I just wish there were a bus arriving at 9:00am so we could have spent more time there. Highly recommend it whether you are interested in Cornwall’s history, looking for unique scenery, or just seeking a great day out!

We visited Geevor as a large group of parents and kids for a pre-arranged tour, Clint and Mark were amazing. Funny, engaging and full of stories. They kept us entertained and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. A great day out! We even got a squeeze box performance from Mark!! What a treat, we love it at Geevor, we will be back! Thank you!

Well worth heading off the tourist trail to hit the 'Poldark' coast to take in this brilliant tin mine experience. At £22 for adults, it feels expensive but if you fancy donning a hard hat and ducking through the mine, then it's probably worth it. The ticket gets you up close and personal with every aspect of Cornish tin mining, from tunnelling/blasting through to crushing and sifting. The mine was in operation for about 200-300 years before finally being taken out of service in 1991. All with the incredible Atlantic coast as a backdrop. Friendly staff, great cafe too
