Amazing views from the interesting piece of history. The walk up can be pretty steep but doesn't take too long and then you will have plenty of time to catch your breath as you take in the stunning sights. We visited twice, early morning and for sunset. Both are highly recommended.

Hello, I am a Korean who regularly visits the UK to participate in martial arts competitions. I also have a great interest in history and mythology. Spoken of as the gateway to the spirit world of the Celts, this place is truly mysterious and amazing. It is also a strong candidate for Avalon, a site from the legend of King Arthur. Currently, the tower of St. Michael's Church remains at the summit. Before the climb, I marveled at the scenery with the tower on the hill in the background, but once I reached the summit, I was completely overwhelmed by the surrounding landscape. Looking down from the top, I could see the entire Somerset region, as well as Dorset and Wiltshire, all at a glance. I brought Legion GO2 and played Assassin's Creed Valhalla, comparing the in-game setting with this place. Although the Somerset region is not implemented in the game, it was fun just to compare it with the nearest area on the edge of the map. I often watch videos, movies, dramas, and animations related to mythology or history. Here, while listening to the ending theme of Fate/Zero, I became completely immersed in the mythological story.

Very easy hike in the openness. There's short cut to the top with steep hike and also there's easy hike around too. Must drive to the start of the trail and park wherever you can find on the street to not block other cars from passing. Very windy when you get to the top. Please dres properly and be safe.

Superb place with views over the surrounding countryside. Sit & watch the sun go down to the sound of shamanic drums & fire dancers - just an average evening for the Tor!

The scenery is beautiful on a sunny day, and the view from the mountaintop is expansive. During the climb, strong, cold winds begin to blow from the halfway point upwards. If you plan to go, please be sure to prepare a windproof jacket and hat.
