A regular place to walk if living locally! Some lovely walks flat and hilly! Plenty of benches to rest. Just sit and listen to the birds. Large Car-Park but there is a charge!
I recently visited Gnoll Country Park and honestly had one of the most relaxing and enjoyable days out I’ve had in a long time. The entire park is absolutely beautiful, with stunning woodland walks, peaceful lakes, waterfalls, open green spaces and loads of places to sit and take in the scenery. Whether you’re going for a quiet walk, taking the kids out, walking the dog or just wanting a break from busy life, this place is perfect. One of the first things I noticed was how clean and well maintained everything was. The grounds are looked after brilliantly and there’s a real sense that the staff genuinely care about the park and the experience visitors have. Even with plenty of people around, the park still felt calm, peaceful and spotless. The toilets deserve a special mention because they were genuinely some of the cleanest public toilets I’ve come across at any park. Everything smelled fresh, the floors and sinks were spotless and they were clearly checked and maintained regularly throughout the day. It might sound like a small thing, but clean facilities make such a huge difference when visiting somewhere for a few hours, especially for families. The new visitor centre facilities are fully accessible and include baby changing and accessible toilets too. The café was another highlight of the visit. It has a really welcoming atmosphere with lovely indoor and outdoor seating areas overlooking the lake. The food and drinks were excellent, with plenty of choice whether you just want a coffee and cake or a proper meal. Everything tasted fresh and the staff were friendly and helpful. It’s also great that they cater for different dietary requirements and even welcome dogs, which makes the whole place feel even more relaxed and family friendly. You can easily spend hours here without getting bored. There are scenic walking trails, wildlife around the lake, play areas for children and loads of beautiful photo spots. The whole park feels safe, welcoming and very well organised. It’s easy to see why so many people recommend it as one of the best outdoor spots in South Wales. Overall, Gnoll Country Park is an amazing place to visit and I’ll definitely be returning. Beautiful scenery, brilliant facilities, incredibly clean toilets and a fantastic café all come together to make it a perfect day out for people of all ages. Highly recommended.
Lovely place to walk your dogs.. 2 children parks and accessible. Lovely areas to have a picnic. Indoor cafe Plenty of parking £3.95 for upto 4 hrs and £4.95 all day. Only down side is that there were only 5 disabled bays. They could have done the whole section and the next section as disabled bays because you still got to pay the same as other drivers and because there is enough room to park a couple of thousand cars, there, it wouldn't be taking room from other drivers. Im disabled and had to squeeze into my car as all 5 disabled bays were in use. It would have been 5 stars if it wasn't for the lack of disabled bays
Lovely spot for a peaceful stroll. Beautifully kept grounds with plenty of paths to wander, many of them easy to follow and suitable for everyone. Great open spaces for dogs to roam and for children to run, play, and enjoy the outdoors. A relaxing place to spend a few hours surrounded by nature. Parking is reasonably priced with ample space.
Beautiful park. Well maintained and the toilets are stylish and new. I think the parking fee was £3 for 4 hours, which is reasonable.
