Lovely and shaded. Free parking. No signs throughout walk if you dont know the trails well. Would be helpful to have coloured arrows to follow. However the walk was peaceful. Small parking areas, however we did not have a problem with this.

Lovely ancient woodland with good circular walks and a proper waterfall at Stephen's Vale. Worth knowing that the recent felling isn't damage for its own sake — a big section of larch had to come out because of a tree disease (Phytophthora ramorum), and the Woodland Trust is using it to bring back native broadleaves and let light down to the bluebells. It looks rough right now, but that's what a felling site always looks like before it recovers. Give it a few years. Still a great place for a walk.

My 1st time. Lovely woods, streams and waterfalls. A good pair of footwear needed. Kids can splash in the water, woods fantastic to explore, no toilets or café.

Such a beautiful walk and walk to the waterfall wasn't long and easy to find, the waterfall itself was stunning g definitely worth a trip here

Shortest way to the waterfall is to go straight ahead until you reach a gate with a little field, cross that and right after second gate turn left and straight away 1minute will be the waterfall you will hear it. Its small but lovely. The whole woodland area is big and spacious lots of dog walkers and a small car park before the entry. When coming back from the waterfall its slightly going up.
